We're pleased to welcome this sturdy, sticky mat to our growing line of eco-friendly, nonskid yoga mats. Made from sustainable rubber-from trees in Malaysia and Indonesia-and recycled rubber, with a scrim of recycled cotton and polyester fibers, this mat contains no lead, PVC, cadmium or heavy metals. The Urban Mat combines a thinner profile with rubber's excellent cushioning ability, making a stable, comfortable surface for practice. This mat should give you years of service, but when it reaches the end of its useful life, all but the polyester portion of the scrim will biodegrade very quickly, leaving a minimal footprint.
